Khalwa(Methi Bhajia)
Methi Pakora. Vegetable fritters made of chickpea flour(Besan or Chana flour) and fenugreek leaves. Very tasty and easy to make. Enjoy with tea or eat itself..Gujarati call it Khalwa...
 

Prep. Time: 10min

Frying Time: 15-20min

 

Ingredients:

11/2 cup Besan

3 tbsp wheat flour

 1 cup Methi(Fenugreek leaves) Bhaji
11/2 ripe banana

3-4 tbsp Vegetable oil and some more oil for frying the kalwa.

Green chili and ginger paste
1 tsp Red Chilly powder

1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. Crushed coriander

Pinch Baking Soda
asfodia-very little
A pinch of Turmeric(haldi) powder

Water as needed

Method:
1. cut methi leaves in small.
2. add oil and all above listed dry ingredients. Add water to besan, make it in paste,but do not make it very loose.
3. Add salt and other ingredients and methi leaves,
4. mash banana and mix it well in ready besan.leave for 10 minutes.
5. takee enough  oil to fry bhajias.
6. let oil get hot, slip ready mixed besan in hot oil,put gas on low.
7. It do not take much time to get ready bhajias.see that it do not get black.
8. It is easy and fast to prepare.You can serve your guests at the fastest speed.    you can eat with chutney or ketchup, or it can be included in as one of the dish in dinner and lunch. many a times, in weddings,it is one of item in menu.
