Moong sabji(Green gram curry)
Moong curry is an easy to make sabji anytime. Very healthy and delicious with rice or roti
 
 

Ingredients:

Green full moong 1 cup
Tomato 1 medium
Green chilli 2 – 3
Corriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup

Curry leaves 4 – 5
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Red chilli 1
Oil 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Aesofoetida a pinch
Salt 3/4 tsp(or as required)
Corriander cumin powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Cardamom powder a pinch(optional)

Directon:

1. Wash moong and keep it in the pressure cooker.
2. Add two cups of water and pressure cook until 2 whistles.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds.
4. When they start popping, add curry leaves, red chilli, aesofoetida and fry for about 10 seconds.
5. Add green chilli, tomatoes to it and fry for about 5 minutes.
6. Add turmeric powder, salt, chilli powder, cumin corriander powder and stir for another 2 minutes.
7. Add cooked moong and cook for about 8 – 10 minutes.
8. Add cardamom powder and sugar and cook for about another minute.
9.
Garnish with corriander leaves.

Serve hot with roti/rotli/chapati/rice.
