Pregnancy and Health
Get information on pregnancy nutrition, what's safe during pregnancy and what's not, pregnancy stages, labor & delivery, after delivery and more. I will be basically discussing here what I did and my mother-in-law helped me through my pregnancy and after delivery. So I will be updating this informations as I get time.
During the whole pregnancy period and after pregnancy, it is important to understand your heath food diet. During and after pregnancy, you are ultimately feeding your baby as well. With keeping that in mind, during pregnancy, get enough iron in your diet and after delivery, make sure that you have adequate milk supply to feed your baby. Some mothers start thinking about getting into shape right after deliver, but I wouldn't worry if you do gain weight during the 1st few months after delivery. Focus on feeding more milk supply to your baby rather than focusing on your gaining/loosing weight.
In india, it may be totally different approach how you take care during and after pregnancy but I truly admire ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and traditions such as After delivery, the mother is not allowed to be stressed because it affects the milk supply and recovery. And even during pregnancy, mother needs to stay happy and always think about good stuff, always see, hear and talk good stuff only. And I guess these things do matter. I enjoyed both of my pregnancy. I ate everything I wanted during pregnancy and read lot of good books. I never cared about gaining/loosing weight. You can mangae weight issues later on once your baby is not on breast feeding.

After delivery, here is what I had.
In the morning, as soon as I wake up and brush, drink suva methi(Dill and fenugreek seeds) water. Night before, my mother in law, soak suva and methi with water. In the morning, boil soaked suva-methi in water and then drain out seeds and drink warm water of seeds.
